Welcome to Freelance Paranormal Pa

OK, so this is my first time EVER writing a blog so here goes...

History: My husband (Dave) and I started researching the paranormal in 2008 & joined a local ghost hunting group in 2009. With the insurgence of the supernatural in the media & on TV the field seemed to explode with new teams popping up around every corner. Unfortunately, most of these teams tended to be young, inexperienced hunters looking for a thrill. Though the team we started with seemed to have somewhat of a steady history.

We investigated with this team steadily, helping it to build & grow through members, advertising, events, research, etc... until sometime in 2013. After that everything seemed to drop off. Case flow slowed to a trickle & so the interest the members had fell as well. We had maybe 2 investigations between 2013 and late 2015. The website shut down & I was, for the most part, the only one who kept things going via Facebook.

Then within the last several months that we were with the team, requests for investigations skyrocketed! Its like they were coming out of the woodwork. Unfortunately, since the head of the team had lost all interest in the field of the paranormal, I was directed to turn down all investigations & send them to other teams in the area.

Finally, in July of 2016, Dave & I decided it was time to move on as well. But where do we go from here? Well, we thought about it for all of a minute. Why couldn't we just investigate on our own? No one dictating when we could investigate or where! We would do it in the freelance capacity, case by case. So we formed Freelance Paranormal Pa. We decided that whether we helped one client a year or 100 it didn't mater. As long as we were helping the people who came to us & getting to do what we love.

That's when we found out that some of the members from the old team still wanted to get out & help people too. How exciting! So our two became four. We are also currently working with a professional photographer & hope to have some new pics up on the site soon.

Freelance Paranormal is about helping people who have nowhere else to turn. We are about doing what we enjoy without it ruling our lives... family ALWAYS comes first! And FP is about embracing the paranormal community around us. Which is why we are excited to be able to collaborate with other paranormal teams in the area on cases & hopefully this fall, some events as well!
